
The soprano Alexandra Lubchan- sky successfully finished her professional studies of piano and composition at the conservatory in St. Petersburg. She continued her education in Israel, where she received the award of the Ame- rican Israel Cultural Foundation.
A DAAD scholarship enabled Alexandra Lubchansky to com- plete her studies as a pianist in Germany. She was the winner of the award at the Rubinstein piano contest in Paris. CD produced by Gabriel Lipkind (cello) and Alexandra Lubchansky (piano).
With Prof. Roland Hermann, Karlsruhe, she started her education as soprano. She sang the high soprano in "Die Eroberung von Mexiko" by Wolfgang Rihm and the part of Angelina in "La Cenerentola". Afterwards she signed her first contract at the Stadttheater Hildesheim.
She worked with the conductors Kent Nagano, Valery Gergiev, Julia Jones, Johannes Kalitzky, Manfred Mayrhofer and Dennis Russel Davies. As a guest star she performed in Frankfurt/Main (opera), Munich (Bayerische Staatsoper), St. Petersburg (Marijinsky Theatre), Baden-Baden (Festspielhaus), Linz, and Darmstadt. Valery Gergiev signed Alexandra Lubchansky to sing the Zerbinetta ("Ariadne auf Naxos") at the Marijinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. She sang the same role in Darmstadt.
Summer 2004: Soloist Das erste Blumenmaedchen in "Parsifal" by Richard Wagner, Baden-Baden, Festspielhaus (Conductor: Kent Nagano, Director: Nikolaus Lehnhoff, DVD recorded). July 2005 solo performance with orchestra.
2004/05/06: The Blonde in "Entfuehrung aus dem Serail", Frankfurt/Main (opera).
June 2006: Ninetta in "La finta semplice" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. (Conductor: Julia Jones, Director: Christof Loy).
2005/06: First performance as Blonde in Munich, Bayerische Staatsoper.
2006: Soloist Konstanze in "Entfuehrung aus dem Serail" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. (Conductor: Dennis Russel Davies).
As a soloist she worked with Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin, Nord- westdeutsche Philharmonie, Slovakian Radio Orchestra Bratislava, Oester- reichisches Ensemble fuer Neue Musik, and Ensemble Aventure Freiburg.
The concert performances of Alexandra Lubchansky include baroque up to contemporary music like "A Mirror on Which to Dwell" by Elliot Carter and the "Monolog" by Adriana Hoelszky. May 2003: Premiere of the dialogue for soloist and cello "Linien, Dialog, Stille" by Marton Illes, specially composed for her, and 2005 premiere of two compositions by Anton Safronov.
